The game of golf plays a special role in the Pelowski family. Gene Pelowski Sr. (Representative Pelowski’s father) and his brother Paul Pehler were the Golf Professionals at Westfield Golf Course in Winona. Later, his father went on to Red Wing Country Club. Gene’s brother Chuck is now the Greenskeeper at “The Jewel” in Lake City.Paul’s son Paul Jr. is currently the owner and Golf Professional at Plainview Golf Course and Gene was the Golf Professional at Walnut Grove Golf Course where his son Ryan won the Club Championship in 1999.
Gene’s father recently received coverage in the Winona Daily News after a particularly good day out on the course with his son.
