How to Participate
The bills must deal with the State of Minnesota and not the federal government. All bills must be delivered to Winona Senior High School by November 1, 2001 so they can be included in the bill book.
Please have students designate if they wish to be in the House or Senate. There are two House members for every Senator. Please arrange your students by this ratio. Also students
should be encouraged to run for Governor, Speaker of the House and President of the Senate. There are eight committee chairpersons that will also be selected based on seniority.
The only cost to your school is transportation for your students and meals. The 2001 Model Legislature Sign up Form can be downloaded by 
Winona Senior High School requires each
participant to draft a bill for introduction to the Model Legislature accompanied by a page of research.
