Winona State Award of Distinction

On October 18, 2002, Representative Gene Pelowski was one of 46 individuals given Winona State University's first Awards of Distinction. Forty Six, of Winona State University's 46,000 graduates since its creation in 1858, were honored for their service to the university. Each was presented with a copy of the President's Medallion and their names were put on a tile in Somsen Hall outside the Alumni Affairs Office. Representative Pelowski was selected for his unique contributions to Winona State University during his 17 years as a Minnesota State Representative.
